I was never a lover of cats - until I met the Jackson family's beautiful Burmese cat Tonic. I fell in love with Tonic who started to visit our garden occasionally - and then as we got to know him, more frequently. At that time Michael and I each owned a Volvo 480 and Tonic knew the sound of our engines: he would come racing down our garden when we arrived home. This association led to us acquiring the first of our several Burmese cats, the ownership of which has been life transforming!
Other happy memories of Neville were the dog walks across Foots Cray Meadows and the long conversations conducted as we walked. We missed Neville and Shirley when they moved to Henfield but have kept in touch.
